How to Become a Member of River Shore Baptist Church

We are eager to welcome new people into our fellowship. At the conclusion of each worship service, an invitation is made to all who might want to publicly confess their faith in Christ, and/or request membership in our church. A response to this invitation is made by walking to the front of the sanctuary and sharing your request with the Pastor.

Membership in River Shore Baptist Church may be made in one of the following ways:

By profession of faith: Upon accepting Christ as your personal Savior, you make public your faith by coming as a candidate for baptism.

By letter: Transferring your membership through promise of a letter of recommendation from another Baptist Church.

By statement: A statement of a previous profession of faith and baptism, when a  request for a letter of recommendation can not be made. You come by indicating your circumstances to the Pastor and request membership by statement of your salvation and baptism by immersion.

From another denomination: You express your desire to the Pastor, who will explain to you whether you will be presented for membership by statement or baptism.
